VERY ARTY...

I've wanted an Arty ring for as long as I can remember but never quiet been able to justify spending £165 on a ring so you can only imagine my surprise and just how chuffed I was to find a similar style in Accessorize retailing at only a fraction of the price. I was so thrilled and when I tried it on it was just the perfect fit and I liked how it wasn't made to chunky or over-detailed. A classic style which I think I will definitely be able to pull-off with many outfits. The stone as-well was perfect, just the right shade of turquoise - I simply couldn't resist.

TOGETHER AT LAST!

::LITA

I've wanted a pair of Jeffery Campbell Lita's for as long as I can remember, so when I went to the U.S it was only fitting that I return home with one. After trying-on a gazillion styles in a boutique on 14th Street in New York, I finally settled for the navy blues in distressed leather. What I liked most about them along with the simple fact that they were not black was the rusty brown colour of the heel and also knowing that they would be very easily adaptable into my current wardrobe and work well with my winter outfits while later-on still being functional in the seasons to come. And of-course I have already worn them out a few times and I love them - Super comfortable too I could literally run in these heels. However, I wish I could have got another pair but unfortunately I only had room for one in my budget. The other pair was the Multi-glitter Lita's which would have been perfect to go with some nice x-mas party outfits this holiday season but hey there's always next time.

HEY MIISTA!

I've fallen in love with Hackney based footwear brand Miista by Laura Villasenin; there is an unusual elegance in their shoe designs that is fashion-forward, unique and intense.

I particularly have three of their styles in mind that I have been eying-up for a while now but I just can't seem to decide which one to go for as they all very intriguing in their own way. No.1 on my list is of-course would be BATILDA,...DINA sits at 2 for and finally the ADIRA style landing at 3 - Mmmmh, decisions, decisions!!!

 (In descending order) BATILDA, DINA, ADIRA

Miista shoes are sold in UK at Topshop, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters and in smaller boutiques like Postmistress at Harvey Nichols and Postmistress in Covent Garden and in United States at Pixie Market, Shopbop, Free People, Anthropologie and Solestruck.

GLITTER!

The holiday season brings a few things: stress for one I'd say would be at the top of that list. But, looking from a more positive point of view there are other fun things to be more excited about namely Parties, Presents and not to forget....Glitter. Yes!!!

I’m pretty sure by now you know of my long and undying love affair with nail polish, and more recently I've developed a great fondness of glitter nail polish. During some of my shopping indulgences in New York I found Sephora...what a magical little place. I literally was like a child in a chocolate factory, so much make-up I didn't even know what to pick. But you can never go wrong with a good statement nail varnish so I went for that instead and some yummy lip goodies. With the Sephora by O.P.I nail polish I also bought lip gloss and lipstick in one of my favorite shades - Pink. My two other glitter polishes I've been having fun using are Strobe light 200 & Rockstar pink 140 by Sally Hansen. [Pictured above...]

::A LITTLE BITE...
[IN THIS DIARY: BROOKLYN BRIDGE, WALL ST, H&M x VERSACE COLLECTION, MAKE-UP AT SEPHORA, CONVERSE FLAGSHIP, MACY'S & CHINATOWN]

New York was amazing!!! Just the energy and the buzz around the city makes you feel so alive and inspired. Being my first time there I can safely say it was an unforgettable experience; so much to do and so much to see. I managed to mix it all up instead of just doing one thing, unfortunately my goal wasn't just shopping although I had a specific shopping list of things I had to come home with i.e The  JC Lita's, oh yeah I brought those babies home with me.

Went to Downtown, Soho, Chealse, Nolita, China Town, Little Italy the infamous Meatpacking District, Fashion District, Lower & Upper Eastside, Staten Island and Brooklyn whichever must-visit corner of New York you name it; I saw it all. I could write a book about my time in the Big Apple but not to bore you with too much detail I'll let the photos do all the talking. All I can say is Shopped, Ate, Drank and Partied hard.

Took way to many pictures which I have had trouble editing down but hope you enjoy the photo diary. Xx

Hello fashion lovelies!

I come bearing exciting news of a Giveaway I'm doing -Yay! Some of you might already know of 'Inala London'; one of my favorite London designers. Inala London is a fresh, new, innovative womenswear brand that designs and creates fashion-forward pieces that are stylish and multifunctional. The key word here being 'multifunctional', the garments can be transformed and worn in a multitude of ways from what might start off as a dress ending-up being a top or gorgeous skirt.

I must say the idea behind the brand is genius as it allows for the young modern woman to have a more functional, hustle free lifestyle. THAT VINTAGE SHOP

Last week, I stopped by one of my favorite shops in Kingston which is one of the towns 'hidden gems'.

Located at the heart of Old London Rd, 'That Vintage Shop' carries many wonderful treasures which are carefully handpicked by the boutiques owner - Katie. I met this lovely, successful young lady during my visit and she expressed how fashion had always been a passion of hers and a birth right almost. Born into a creative bloodline, Katie continued to tell me the story of how her grandmother used to be a fashion designer and how some of her own mothers classic fashion pieces that had been collected over the years were even used in getting the business on its feet.

So after studying Fashion at University herself, it was only fitting that Katies career took a similar path as she can to the realization that would be no better way to express that passion than through her love for Vintage. Now - 15 months down the line since the store opened, 'That Vintage shop' attracts many fashion lovers locally and around South West London including students who have also at some point worked for the young entrepreneur. She says that her aim is "to provide accessible and good quality Vintage items that are also relevant to the current times" while at the same time incorporating a few pieces that are Eco-friendly within her range.

I was really inspired by Katies story, her choice of merchandise and the whole store lay-out which was a breath of fresh air. Unlike most vintage shops, this store looks more like a boutique hence I keep referring to it as such, there are 'proper' fitting rooms 'actual' mirrors (not a dark corner tucked far from cameras where you'd shamefully go squat and try something on - quickly) and to top it off NO weird old shop smells like those found in most Vintage and Second hand stores. In a few words I guess what I loved about this shop was its good selection of clothing and accessories and how well displayed and visually stimulating the lay-out was but most of all like any other fashionista I liked the prices and by this I mean reasonable making items in this shop accessible to all. From what I established it was clear that the owner took all aspects of running a successful business into consideration and she knows and understands exactly who her customer is. Their are even a few items for the boys too.

Go see it for yourself - Visit this little red shop on Old London Rd and you'll leave with a whole new perspective and appreciation of what good vintage pieces are made of.
